Ruth Kadiri Slams Nollywood Producers Pressuring Actors For One Million Views

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has spoken out against producers who pressure actors to achieve one million views on YouTube on the first day of their movie’s release.

She advised fellow actors to ignore such demands, stating that high view counts shouldn’t define the success of a film.

Kadiri expressed her thoughts on Instagram, urging actors not to let producers place unnecessary pressure on them. She emphasized that one million views should not be seen as the benchmark for a successful movie.

She wrote, “Dear Nollywood actors, take the pressure off your shoulders! Any producer who requires one million views from you in one day has failed. A good production requires more than just your face.”

Kadiri also pointed out that there is much to learn about YouTube, and she warned actors not to let producers’ lack of knowledge affect their happiness. “One million views is not a standard of success,” she added.
