Breaking: Mystery Fire Razes Popular Church During Vigil

A devastating fire broke out on Friday night at the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC located in Wisdom Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State, trapping several worshippers who were gathered for a vigil.

The fire started in the CAC Church building on Olohunda Road in the Lagelu Local Government Area of the state at around 9:30 pm.

Eyewitnesses revealed that many worshippers had sleeping at the Church in anticipation of the night vigil when the fire suddenly erupted. Some of them were caught off guard as the blaze spread rapidly.

One witness recounted the situation, saying, “Some people had already slept off when the fire started. An elderly woman, who could barely walk, was still inside the church when the fire raged.”

The quick intervention of local fire services helped rescue the trapped worshippers. Akinyemi Akinyinka, the General Manager of Oyo State Fire Services, confirmed the incident but noted that the exact cause of the fire is still unknown at the time of reporting.

As investigations continue to probe the cause of the fire in the CAC church building, members are left to process the traumatic event, thankful for the lives saved in the face of the terrifying blaze.
