Maverick singer Portable alleges Queen Dami is the cause of his career setbacks including failure to win the Grammy

Nigerian singer Portable has openly accused his former lover, Queen Dami, of sabotaging his chances of winning a Grammy Award.

During a live conversation with media personality Daddy Freeze, Portable explained that the struggles he recently faced in his career were caused by his ex-lover’s influence as he accused Queen Dami, a former wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo for his inability to win the Grammy.

The “Zazu Zeh” hitmaker revealed that he turned to Ifa, a traditional Yoruba spiritual system, to seek guidance on overcoming the obstacles in his life. Speaking in Yoruba, he shared how he made offerings to Aje, the goddess of wealth, and prayed to Ifa for advice on how to improve his career.

Portable said that the advice he received from Ifa was to remove any negative influences in his life. He emphasized that he needed to let go of people, especially women or men, who were blocking his progress. He stated, “I gave food to Aje and I prayed to Ifa, and I was told to say that anything blocking my way, whether it’s a woman or man that I accommodated that is not letting me progress, let them depart from me, so that they don’t remove my battery.”

Portable then went on to claim that Queen Dami, whom he believes has caused many of his setbacks, is a major reason he has not won a Grammy. “Can’t you see that girl has run away? She has gone with her problems. She’s one of the reasons I have not won a Grammy Award. Assuming she wasn’t in my life, I would have won a Grammy,” he added.
