APC Chairman Suspended
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 8, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, has suspended its chairman, Musa Abdulahi, over allegations of misconduct and actions deemed detrimental to the party.
In a statement issued by the ward’s executive members, Abdulahi was accused of insubordination, failing to convene critical meetings, and engaging in activities that undermined the party’s goals. He was also alleged to have mismanaged funds allocated for voter registration drives and to have collaborated with opposition factions.
The suspension, which takes effect immediately, requires Abdulahi to return all party properties and documents in his possession. The statement further warned him against presenting himself as the APC Ward 8 chairman or as a party member.
The statement read:
“We, the executive members of the All Progressives Congress in Ward 8 of Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, have suspended the chairman, Musa Abdulahi.
“Abdulahi is to immediately return all party properties and official documents currently in his possession, and he is hereby warned to cease parading himself as the APC Ward 8 chairman or as a member of the party.
“Failure to comply with these directives will result in legal action, as the APC constitution clearly empowers the majority of ward executives to suspend any executive or party member found guilty of actions that violate the party’s principles and constitution.”
