Revokes Actress’s License Samba Inuwa

The Kano State Censorship Board has suspended a popular Kannywood actress, Samba M. Inuwa, for violating its rules on indecent dressing and inappropriate content. Her operating license has also been revoked.

According to a statement from the board’s Information Officer, Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, Samba Inuwa had received multiple warnings about her “crude dressing and vulgar displays” but failed to comply. As a result, the board decided to suspend her activities immediately, barring her from appearing in any films for the next 12 months.

The decision came after numerous complaints from the public and concerned citizens in Kano about her conduct, which they believed violated the board’s regulations. The board also announced that no films featuring the actress would be censored during the suspension period.

This move against Inuwa Samba aligns with the new leadership’s efforts under Abba Al-Mustapha to restore order and discipline in the Hausa film industry.
