Nigerian Pastor Reveals How He Changed Wardrobe After COZA Visit (Video)

Pastor Femi Lazarus, founder of the Sphere of Light Church, recently shared a light-hearted but impactful experience from a visit to the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) in Lagos, Nigeria.

The cleric humorously recalled feeling out of place due to the high-end footwear worn by members of the congregation, which contrasted sharply with his modest shoes.

Speaking during a sermon, Pastor Lazarus described how the encounter left a lasting impression and even influenced his wardrobe choices.

“I went to Lagos for an Apostolic mission and decided to attend COZA,” he narrated. “The service was excellent, but the devil whispered to me, ‘Look at your agemates’ feet.’ When I glanced down and saw their shoes compared to mine, I quickly tucked my legs under the chair.”

He admitted feeling so self-conscious that he skipped the first-timers’ greeting session, an action he attributed to his footwear insecurity. The experience, however, became a turning point.

“After the service, I got angry,” he continued with a chuckle. “I went straight to buy new shoes.”
