Rufai Oseni Opens Up On Love As Ojy Okpe Teases (Video)

Popular broadcaster Rufai Oseni found himself at the center of some lighthearted teasing during the Tuesday, February 11, 2025, edition of Arise TV’s Morning Show, when his co-host, Ojinika Anne Okpe, popularly known as Ojy Okpe, playfully hinted at his yet-to-be-announced wedding plans.
Okpe’s remark came while reflecting on Oseni’s interview with African Development Bank (AfDB) President, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, which aired the previous day. During that interview, Adesina credited his success to his wife, Grace, who sacrificed her career to support him.
Appreciating Oseni for conducting a brilliant interview, Okpe teasingly remarked, “I hope you learned from that interview, because we’re waiting for the wedding bells.”
In response, Oseni boldly affirmed, saying:
“I love love. If it has to be done, it has to be done rightly.”
He went on to emphasize the importance of treating one’s spouse with respect, adding:
“We have a lot of men who don’t treat their wives right. Many men have no regard for their wives but are busy chasing after ‘slay mamas’ everywhere.”

GWG.ng reports that the exchange followed a particularly heated interview with Daniel Bwala, a Special Adviser to the President on Media and Policy, where Oseni and his co-hosts, Ayo Mairo-Ese and Akinfemi Adesanya, subjected Bwala to intense questioning. The grilling was so intense that Bwala had to request water mid-interview.
Rufai Oseni is well-known in the media industry for his fearless questioning and sharp analysis. Beyond being a celebrated host on Arise TV, he is also a global speaker, investor, and tech enthusiast.
While Oseni has kept his personal life largely private, Okpe’s teasing has fueled fresh speculation about his relationship status, with many wondering if wedding bells will soon ring for the outspoken journalist.
