Chika Ike Explains Why She Can’t Be Ned Nwoko’s 7th Wife

Nollywood actress Chika Ike has finally broken her silence on widespread rumors suggesting that billionaire businessman and politician, Prince Ned Nwoko, is the father of her unborn child.

The speculation about Chika Ike and Ned Nwoko, which had been making raves on news and social media around Nigeria prompted the senator to issue a statement denying any involvement.

He dismissed claims that he was expecting a child with the actress or planning to take a seventh wife, stating that he was too focused on national duties.

Reacting on Tuesday via a Facebook post, Chika Ike firmly debunked the rumors on Ned Nwoko’s role in her preg as she splashed new photos. She made it clear that Nwoko was not the father of her child and emphasized her stance against polygamy.

She wrote:

“FALSE! FALSE! FALSE! There have been all sorts of lies peddled about me for years, but I always ignored them. However, this is different because it involves my child. You all do not know anything about me because you CAN’T, except I choose to disclose it. I’m that PRIVATE!”

“Ned isn’t the father of my child, and whoever you might guess next is also false. Like I’ve said before, I’m not about to be anyone’s seventh wife! Polygamy isn’t for me.”

The actress expressed her amusement at those attempting to uncover details about her private life, stating that she kept her pregnancy hidden for months without anyone knowing.

“I understand that rumors come with my career, and I don’t care about them. But because this involves my child, I have to set the record straight. My privacy is my peace, and no one can unsettle me. I’m basking in the joy of my pregnancy, and that’s all that matters to me now,” Chika Ike added.
