Nigerian gospel singer Testimony Jaga has claimed that Portable is possessed, stating that demons manifested when he tried to deliver him and that his community considers him a menace.

Nigerian gospel singer Testimony Jaga has stirred controversy after claiming that street-pop singer Portable is possessed by demons.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, Testimony Jaga recounted his encounter with Portable, alleging that dark forces manifested when he held him.

“Portable is demonic. When I held him, the demons in him started manifesting. Since the day we went to his house and he accepted Jesus—only to later turn back and insult us—he hasn’t rested. The bike men in his area even told us to ‘kpai’ him because he terrorizes them.”

Jaga further claimed that even the traditional ruler of Portable’s area described the singer as a troublemaker and questioned how God could bless such a person with wealth. He insisted he had proof of his statements, adding that his animal farm is near Portable’s Odogwu Bar, giving him firsthand knowledge of the situation.

Jaga’s statements have triggered mixed reactions, with some dismissing his claims and others agreeing with his assessment of Portable.
