Video: Social Media Erupts As Odumeje Announces Plan To Challenge Tinubu
By Benjamin Abioye

Popular Nigerian pastor Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumrje or Indaboski Bahose, has announced his ambition to run for Nigeria’s presidency in 2027.
Odumeje made the declaration to run in the 2027 presidential election during a church service, stressing the need for young and technologically inclined leadership in the country.
Speaking to his congregation, Odumeje stated that Nigeria requires a youthful and digital-minded leader instead of “old cargos” in 2027.
His words were met with excitement as he repeatedly asked his audience if they were ready for him to become president. He assured them that he understands what the people need and is prepared to lead. However, he did not disclose which political party he would join or any details about his campaign strategy.
His announcement has stirred mixed reactions across social media. While some dismissed it as a joke or a publicity stunt, others found it entertaining and played along with his dramatic persona. One Instagram user, @fhemy_ways, questioned how Odimeje would interact with world leaders, urging him to “maintain his lane.” Another user, @helen_okocha_32, sarcastically said she would vote for him just to experience his unique leadership style. Similarly, @chinny_005 jokingly expressed enthusiasm, predicting that his presidency would bring a period of endless enjoyment.
As Nigeria moves closer to the 2027 elections, it remains uncertain whether Odumeje will take concrete steps to formalize his candidacy. His declaration has certainly added an unusual twist to the country’s political discussions, leaving many curious about whether he is serious or simply making headlines.
