Video: Outrage As Mother Pressures Daughter To Kiss Stranger For ₦100,000

A mother urging her daughter to kiss a stranger for ₦100,000 has sparked outrage and debate across social media platforms.
A heated debate has erupted online over a mother’s unusual actions toward her daughter. The incident, which involved a content creator and his friend, has left many people shocked and disappointed.
In a video shared on TikTok, a woman and her daughter were walking down a street when a content creator approached them with a challenge. He offered the daughter ₦100,000 if she would kiss his friend, who was standing beside him. Instead of rejecting the offer outright, the mother initially suggested that her daughter accept it. When the daughter refused, the mother became more forceful, even commanding her to do it. She reassured the content creator that her daughter would comply, but the young woman remained firm in her decision.
The situation became even more uncomfortable when the content creator, clearly taken aback, asked if the woman was truly the girl’s biological mother. Both the mother and daughter confirmed their relationship. The daughter, feeling humiliated, asked her mother to stop embarrassing her, but the woman continued insisting. At one point, the mother compared her daughter to her sister, saying that the sister would have done it, implying disappointment in the daughter’s refusal. Frustrated, the daughter warned her mother to stop pressuring her or risk getting slapped.
The video has sparked a flood of reactions online. Many social media users praised the daughter, identified as Tola, for standing her ground. A user, @Mz Eva, commented, “The sisterhood is proud of Tola, but the motherhood is disappointed in mama.” Another user, @Flassy D, wrote, “Tola, may you touch more than 100 million this year. I respect you, babe girl.”
Others criticized the mother, arguing that such pressure pushes young women into risky situations. @Ema_Adakole noted, “Most of the girls on the street taking unnecessary risks were actually pushed by bad mothers.” Similarly, @Praise Itorobong stated, “All these mothers, when they settle for less, they now stress their daughters.”
However, some people disapproved of the daughter’s reaction, saying she should not have spoken harshly to her mother. @Praize Perry pointed out, “She acted well by not kissing him, but saying she’d slap her mom? Oh no, that’s wrong.”
Meanwhile, a few users speculated that the entire situation might have been staged. @D² stitches commented, “I think this is staged. African mothers will never allow that.”
The video continues to generate strong reactions, with people debating the mother’s behavior, the daughter’s response, and the larger issue of parental influence on young women’s decisions.
