Some serving and former political party leaders with Chief Dan Orbih, national vice-chairman, South-South, in the lead, have commiserated with Emmanuel Aziken, publisher of GWG.ng on the death of his mother, Mrs Helen Erina Aziken.

Besides Orbih, Edo State’s redoubtable political constructor, Barrister (Mrs) Georgina Dakpokpo and Mr Benard Mikko, former member of the House of Representatives were among political party officials who sent in words following the death of Mrs Helen Aziken.

Chief Orbih who is renowned for his political sagacity and for fabricating the PDP into a major force in Edo State commiserated with Mr Aziken through scripted and verbal channels.

While urging the family of the deceased to take heart in the quality of life lived by their mother urged that the burial be done as soon as possible.

GWG.ng reports that Orbih as chairman of the PDP in Edo State was able to defeat the party in power in the state either as the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN or its morphological replacement,  the All Progressives Congress, APC. The PDP with Orbih as chairman of the state chapter of the PDP won the majority of seats in the National Assembly and the presidential elections between 2011 and 2019.

Also condoling with Aziken was the erstwhile member of the House of Representatives, Mikko who also served as the National Secretary of the PDP at the height of the crisis in the party during the Senator Ali Modu Sheriff era.

GWG.ng reports that Mikko is reckoned as one of the more independent-minded political actors in Rivers State, famous for tracking an independent lane of the Nyesom Wike and the anti-Wike tempers.

He wrote in a message to Emmanuel Aziken, “Just read that you lost your mother. Pls accept my condolences, and may her soul rest in peace.”
