Nigerian Bride Aborts Marriage On Wedding Eve

A wedding that was supposed to take place in Anguldi, Zawan, Plateau State ended in unexpected drama after the bride called off the wedding just a night before the ceremony.
According to reports shared on X by Charles Obinwa, popularly known as Talking Pen, the bride ended the relationship and the wedding in Zawan, Plateau State, because the groom is a member of the COCIN church.
Obinwa wrote: “What sort of wickedness is this? Breaking: Update reaching me, coming out of Anguldi, Zawan, is that a bride has called off her wedding yesterday night! The wedding was scheduled to hold today, Saturday.”
He explained that the groomsmen were already lodged in a hotel near Grand Cereals, while the bridesmaids were staying at the COCIN Pastorium — but the bride had left.
“Her flimsy excuse is that she doesn’t want to get married to a COCIN member… Ahhhhh!!! For relationship of over 3yrs and you allowed him to make preparations plus expenses? This is totally inhumane and unacceptable to the young man… I don’t think anybody deserves this humiliation at all,” Obinwa added.
The story sparked several reactions online, as many people doubted the bride’s reason for cancelling the wedding scheduled to hold in Zawan, Plateau State. Some believed there was more to the story.
Emmanuel Romeo Dung said: “Make wunna sha get full info first….what if she ran away from the main wickedness? Somebody can not just up and give such excuse, there is more to this.”
D Word Nosky Stephen also commented: “There’s more to her excuses, she doesn’t wanna marry to COCIN church member yet she has been dating their member all these while fully known where he’s worshipping or did the guy change his church overnight?”

Chumle Lohzing Peter, on his part, said: “If this information is true, this girl needs to pay back for all the expenses the guy has spent for the preparation of this wedding. What kind of wickedness is this for God’s sake?”
