Video: 3 Teenage Girls Arrested For Attempting To Stab Mother Over Wi-Fi Dispute
By Benjamin Abioye

In a shocking and disturbing incident, three Texas teenage girls were put in custody after allegedly attempting to stab their mother after she turned off the home Wi-Fi.
What initially appeared to be a minor disagreement over Wi-fi use between a Texas mother and her teenage daughters escalated into a violent outburst, highlighting the potentially dangerous consequences of a growing dependence on technology.
The incident occurred in Harris County, Houston, when the three sisters, aged 14, 15, and 16, reportedly became furious after their mother disconnected the internet. The situation quickly spiraled out of control as the teenagers grabbed kitchen knives and chased their mother through their home and into the street.
Fortunately, the mother and her mother (the girls’ grandmother) were not seriously injured in the confrontation, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The teens were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. They have since been placed in the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
The alarming events have drawn widespread attention, with many online commenters expressing both disbelief and concern over the extreme reaction of the teenagers. One user suggested, “Send them to detention camp—no Wi-Fi, no internet for a year to detox,” while another voiced the need for professional help: “They need jail time and an excellent mental illness counselor.”
Some individuals pointed out the underlying issues behind such extreme behavior. “So killing her was going to get the Wi-Fi back on? Wow, just wow!” one comment read. Others emphasized the role of technology, with one user reflecting, “This is why we don’t do TV, tablets, or video games in our house.”
The Texas Wi-fi incident has raised serious questions about the influence of technology on young people, and the importance of setting boundaries in the digital age. This disturbing event has sparked broader conversations on the need for balance in how we manage screen time and expectations in our homes.
