By Gideon Ayeni

A resurfaced video showing members of the now-defunct CBEX Ponzi scheme promoting the platform on Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) radio has gone viral, causing outrage and mixed reactions across social media.
In the viral footage, CBEX promoters appeared live on air at the OSBC radio station, urging Nigerians to invest in the scheme as a pathway out of poverty. With confident tones, they assured listeners that CBEX was a life-changing opportunity—one that could “erase poverty forever.”

However, following the recent crash of CBEX, which left many Nigerians counting painful financial losses, the promotional video has now become a symbol of regret and controversy.
Online users have expressed divergent views. While some have harshly criticized the radio station for allegedly helping to amplify a fraudulent investment platform, others argue that OSBC may have merely provided a commercial platform without full knowledge of the scheme’s fraudulent nature.
