Fubara Ignores Wike’s Jabs, Hails Tinubu In Easter Message
By Benjamin Abioye

Governor Fubara has called on the people of Rivers State to unite and support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing hope and progress in his Easter message.
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara on Saturday ignored Nyesom Wike and called for unity and reconciliation in an Easter message to the people of Rivers State.
He emphasized that the Easter period offers a unique opportunity for healing, reconciliation, and reaffirming the shared values of peace and unity. Fubara highlighted the importance of the sacred season in restoring relationships and comforting those who are suffering.
In a statement released on Saturday in Port Harcourt, Fubara remarkably ignored the pugnacious jabs by Wike who two days earlier revealed that he had sought to sack him, Fubara instead of the suspension from office effected by President Tinubu.
In his personal Easter message titled “Renewed By The Resurrection: Advancing Peace, Unity, and Good Governance,” he extended his warm greetings to the people of Rivers State, urging them to reflect on the essence of Easter. “As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, this Easter, I bring you warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations,” he said.
The governor described Easter as a time for reconciliation and unity, emphasizing that it is a season when the peace of Christ dwells richly in the hearts of people, restoring relationships, comforting the afflicted, feeding the hungry, and healing the brokenhearted. He went on to highlight Easter’s significance as a reminder of hope, stating, “It is a time to reaffirm our shared belief that peace shall overcome war, and that even shattered dreams can find new life in the light of the resurrection.”
Fubara reiterated his commitment to good governance, noting that the people of Rivers State deserve leadership that prioritizes their needs. He declared, “This season renews our confidence that nothing—neither hardship, nor adversity, nor even death—can separate us from the love of God in Christ. In Him, we remain victorious.” The governor also affirmed his ongoing dedication to improving governance in the state, saying, “I reiterate my unwavering commitment to delivering good governance to the resilient and dignified people of Rivers State.”
In his message, Fubara also called for continued support for President Bola Tinubu, urging the people of Rivers State to align with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. “I call on the good people of Rivers State to continue to support and align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of our dear President, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while looking forward to a better tomorrow,” he stated.
The governor emphasized the importance of collective strength and unity in achieving transformation for both the state and the nation. He urged the people not to lose sight of their shared strength, stating, “The transformation we all desire is achievable when we act together as one people under God, committed to peace, unity, and progress.”
Fubara concluded his Easter message by wishing the people of Rivers State and beyond a blessed and peaceful Easter. He expressed hope for renewed strength and love for the journey ahead, saying, “May the Risen Christ bless every home in Rivers State and beyond with peace, love, good health, and renewed strength as we continue our journey to a greater future. Happy Easter to you all!”
