Obi Stingy Tinubu questions

Kenneth Okonkwo has shaded Asiwaju Bola Tinubu saying that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was too stingy unlike his APC counterpart in refusing to share questions directed at him during his appearance at Chatham House on Monday.

He spoke as he drew a difference President Muhammadu Buhari and Peter Obi in the matter of the character attributes that the two men share.

Okonkwo who reviewed the Chatham House appearance by Obi on The Arise News’ Morning Show said that Obi was too stingy as he drew a contrast with Tinubu who farmed out the questions directed at him during his earlier appearance.

GWG.ng reports that Tinubu had also on the political rostrum tackled Obi as being too stingy, a development that may have triggered the Okonkwo dig at the APC candidate over the Chatham House questions.

Asked on how Peter Obi would tackle the issue of corruption, Kenneth Okonkwo said:

“The issue of tackling corruption is the easiest thing to be dealt with in Nigeria and the reason is simple. It is the state officials that are stealing oil and when you are get into office and employ people who are not corrupt you have ended corruption.”

“The first strategy that my principal is going to adopt is that he himself is not going to be corrupt and if he is not, who is it that is working for him that is going to be corrupt.

Noting that there has not been any trace of corruption to President Muhammadu Buhari, he said:

“In all honesty when he tells you that he does not have a house anywhere (abroad) he is being sincere about it. That is talking about character and that is why we are saying that the 3 Cs are the irreducible minimum for the next character. Character is not enough, you must have capacity, you must have competence. President Buhari is lacking in competence, maybe because of his age for a man who has stayed in hospital for eight months outside Nigeria when he is the president certainly will lose track of events.”

Besides the issue of Obi being too stingy in sharing questions which Okonkwo used to Shade Tinubu, the actor also addressed issues about Labour Party forming a minority in the National Assembly.

According to him, Obi as governor of Anambra State operated under a legislative house populated by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and that did not deter him from succeeding.
