Whitemoney Bows To Pressure, Apologizes To Doyin
Whitemoney, the winner of Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye, has issued an apology to his colleague, Doyin and actress Victoria Inyama, as well as other women who were offended by his recent comments.
The reality star sparked controversy when he claimed that no woman is out of a man’s league as long as he has money, a statement that was strongly opposed by Doyin. Victoria Inyama took the issue further by insulting Whitemoney’s mother.
Whitemoney had expressed his displeasure with Doyin during an appearance on Nedu’s The Honest Bunch podcast, making a series of controversial statements that led to heavy criticism online. However, the Shine Ya Eye winner has now taken to social media to apologise for his comments and clarify his position.
According to Whitemoney, his initial video was intended to motivate men, but he now recognizes that his statement could have been interpreted as demeaning to women. He acknowledged that he should have clarified by saying “some women” instead of all women. He went on to apologize to Doyin, Victoria Inyama, and any other woman who was offended by his remarks.
Whitemoney also addressed the comments he made on Nedu’s podcast, noting that he is not sure if Doyin watched the full video or just the snippets that went viral online. However, he acknowledged that even if Doyin was offended by his comments, he is genuinely sorry. The reality star reiterated that he would never talk down on women, as he was raised by them and they are a big part of his career.
Whitemoney further explained that women have played a significant role in his life, both personally and professionally. His team is filled with women, and he appreciates every single woman he has come across in his life. He also apologized for any unintentional insult caused by his words and acknowledged that he is not perfect.
