Osun: Oyetola’s Wife Says Judicial Battle Was Turbulent

Wife of the governor of Osun State, Mrs. Kayafat Oyetola has described the judicial battle for the governorship of the state that ended on Friday in her husband’s favour as turbulent.

She spoke as Mrs. Bettey Anyanwu-Akeredolu, wife of the governor of Ondo State congratulated the Gboyega Oyetolas on the victory at the Supreme Court.  

Mrs. Oyetola spoke when she received Mrs. Akeredolu who is the chairperson of the Southwest Governors’ Wives Forum during a solidarity visit in Oshogbo.

Mrs Oyetola described their litigation journey as “turbulent” and enjoined the people of Osun State to expect a lot of empowerment and developmental programs from the Oyetola led government in the state.

Mrs Akeredolu expressed confidence that Governor Oyetola and his first lady will now strategize for the much desired dividends of democracy in the state for both the men and women folks.

Receiving the visiting first lady, Mrs. Kayafat Oyetola expressed gratitude to Mrs Akeredolu for the visit, which according to her was the first among the first ladies in the zone.

Mrs Akeredolu who was accompanied by the members of Forum for Wives of Ondo State Officials, FOWOSO, was received by Governor Oyetola, wives; of the Secretary to the State Government, Head of service, APC state Chairman.
