PDP Deceived Me For 22 Years, Delta Chieftain Rues

An aggrieved organizer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Marcus Enudi has dumped the party saying the party has been helpless to him and his followers in the past 22 years.

In an open letter circulated on All Progressives Congress, APC chatrooms and on his Facebook wall, the former PDP activist lamented that he had been continuously used and dumped by the PDP over the years noting that the only opportunity he got at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC was sabotaged by a rival politician.

In the letter to his ward chairman, he said:

RESIGNATION FROM PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY, PDP.

I am Comrade Enudi Marcus, from ward 4, Umukwata, Ukwuani LGA,Delta State.

I am in my right frame of mind, while writing my resignation letter from PDP, and after due consultations with my family and followers.

I am resigning from PDP, because of the following reasons.

1. PDP does not reward loyalty, I have served PDP for 22 years but nothing to show for it as a person, in my ward or to my followers.

2. I struggled to get a job from DESOPADEC, as an Administrative Officer, but was illegally relieved of my job by Mr. Ken O…., who came to meet me in PDP from AD. I petitioned the Public Petition committee in the DTHA, they advised us to settle it amicably, as we were all sons of Governor Okowa, and my job be given back to me, and salaries arrears paid, but till now, nothing positive has happened. Even after numerous letters to the Governor on same issue.

3. My followers are losing confidence on me, as I cant take care of their political needs/interests after using them to deliver PDP in all elections.

4. No meaningful projects in my ward to use to campaign for PDP in another election.

5. We started the Anioma Agenda even before 2015, but since we got the  governorship position in  2015,the Anioma Agenda has been personalised. I have lost confidence in the Anioma Agenda, we all fought for and won.

6. The impunity of most PDP leaders in Ukwuani LGA is too much, they don’t respect the rules of politics and the constitution of PDP.

7. The PDP Leaders in Ukwuani are too self centred and selfish, we do the work, they take the glory.

8 In Ukwuani PDP, the whole benefits goes to Obiaruku and Umutu. I cant continue working for PDP, and my Umukwata community will be left out when the gains come.

9. I was prevailed upon to drop my DTHA ambition by Ukwuani PDP, and a member of the National PDP BOT member in Ukwuani, to support and deliver the already chosen candidate even before the primary election, which I obeyed, but I was abandoned by all of them, after working tirelessly to deliver the chosen PDP DTHA candidate in the 2019 General election.

As we always say, politics is game of interest, my interest has never been contained in Ukwuani PDP, so I have to go to where my interest will be contained.
