The police in Lagos have apprehended eight armed robbers including two women in their hideout in the Ifako Ijaye area of the megacity.
The robbers had for some time been harassing residents of Oworonsoki, Bariga and Gbagada areas of the city.
The eight robbers were caught on Wednesday following intelligence report received by the police.
The suspected robbers were identified as Seye Yinka, Olasunkanmi Jacob, Yemi Sodiq, Isaac Akinse, Toyin Olokodana, Damilola Ogunderu, Ahmed Saliu and Babatunde Sunday.

Among the things recovered from them were two pistols and 12 live cartridges.
A source said the robbers are also members of the Eiye cult.
