Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has taken offence at what it claims to be disparaging statements directed against Governor Okezie Ikpeazu by the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA governorship candidate, Dr. Alex Otti.

The response of the youth group followed comments on Ikpeazu’s alleged poor performance by Otti recently.

But responding, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council in a statement made available to GWG affirmed that the assertions by Dr. Otti were disparaging and unwarranted as it vowed to sanction him if he insists on maintaining his course.

The group in the statement signed by Collins Kalu, the media adviser to the president-general of the group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro said:

“irrespective of the fact that we don’t interfere on internal wrangling between  prominent sons and daughters of Igbo land but we’ll never fail to halt violent languages spoken in the midst of misplaced anger and capable of truncating the peaceful atmosphere we enjoyed in the South East.

“ the best time to judge or pass any verdict on any administration is the the end of the tenure of the administration, but throwing up inciting words on Abians against a sitting Governor, is not acceptable and we urge further restraint on heating the polity through unnecessary vituperative rhetoric aimed at distracting Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and put Abia on flames.”
