Fervent critic of the Muhammadu Buhari administration and former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has taken umbrage at Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo over his status in the present administration.

Responding to President Buhari’s assent to the Deep Offshore Act in London where he is presently on a private visit, Fani-Kayode said it had left a question on Osinbajo’s status in the Buhari administration.

President Buhari travelled to London for what the presidency claimed to be a private visit but without transmitting power to the vice-president.

President Buhari has not transmitted power to Osinbajo since when as acting president, the vice-president sacked the Director-General of the State Security Service, Lawal Daura, who was and is still reputed to play a major role in the affairs of the administration.

In a post on twitter on Tuesday, Fani-Kayode quipped:

“How do you describe a VP that insists on remaining in office after his boss refuses to hand over power to him when he goes on leave and instead gets his Chief of Staff to fly over to London to sign legislative bills into law?”

“If your boss can’t trust you why are you still there?” he asked.

It has, however, not been revealed how the bill got to London.
