Makinde Hosts South-West Governors At Amotekun Inauguration

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State received other South-West governors including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi at the inauguration of a new security outfit codenamed Amotekun.in Ibadan.

The idea of establishing a security outfit was muted to tackle the incessant kidnapping and other security challenges facing the entire country in recent times which are beyond the capacity of the police.

 Apart from some governors or their representatives were at the venue of the inauguration, contingents from the six states of the zone were all in attendance.  

The inauguration signals the official commencement of the joint security outfit in the six southwest states of Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo and Ekiti.
