Britain monarch, Queen Elizabeth II has agreed on the decision of his grandson, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to maintain independent role away from Royal responsibilities.

Harry and Meghan had earlier announced their intention to pursue an independent life, a decision that had generated controversy in recent days.

After a crisis meeting of senior royals at the Queen’s Sandringham estate north of London, the Queen said she had agreed that Prince Harry and Meghan could split their time between the UK and Canada but that “complex matters” would have to be resolved.

The Queen, in a statement, after meeting, agreed to the decision of the couple.

In her words: “My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family.

“Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect & understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.

“There is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.”
