Liverpool Suffer Second Successive Defeat At The Bridge

Chelsea defeated Liverpool 2-0 in their FA Cup knockout match played at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Two goals on either side of the match helped Chelsea to reverse the earlier humiliation poured on the London side by the league leaders at the Bridge.

Though Liverpool had more possession of the ball, Chelsea proved to be the better finisher at the goal with polished finishings by Willian in the first half and Barkley in the second half.

There were other opportunities which the Blues also missed with the ball bouncing off the woodwork at least three times.

Kepa who returned to the goal was outstanding for Chelsea as he denied the team from the North a couple of times.

Tuesday’s defeat would be the second time in as many games to have been lost by the hitherto invisible Liverpool.
