The Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro Felix Obuah has again applauded the State Governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike for recording another milestone in his bid to ensure that the spread of the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic is largely checkmated by presently embarking on state-wide decontamination of public places.

Bro Obuah commended the foresight of the Governor for the decontamination as the best option for now since there is no vaccine yet for permanent cure against the virus.

The RIWAMA boss said the action of the Governor is an eloquent proof to all Rivers people and those doing business in the State that the government is not resting on her oars in ensuring that the state is safe for business activities  to fully resume including the safety of school children when they eventually resume full academic activities.

According to the RIWAMA Boss, the decontamination exercise which comprises three steps and being carried out simultaneously is aimed at markets, bus stops, hospitals, motor parks and other public places is already in progress and has captured such areas as Abali Park, GRA Junction, Mile One Market, Government Girls Secondary School, Oromineke and some religious points in Port Harcourt metropolis.

Bro Obuah said he could not thank Governor Wike enough for his courage not minding the actions and utterances of those who do not wish the State well and will stop at nothing in returning evil for good under the guise of exercising their right of expression on public issues.

The RIWAMA Sole Administrator expressed joy that the State is gifted with a listening Governor who welcomes ideas and proposals that will benefit the people, stressing that this the mark of a good and people’s leader.

He appealed to all to give the team of fumigators by the Rivers State government all the necessary co-operation for our collective safety.
