How Dare You! Pastor Chris Damns FG Orders

President of LoveWorld Incorporated, aka Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has kicked against the limit placed on the duration of church services.

Oyakhilome said the Federal Government has no right to tell God’s people the number of hours to spend in church.

Recall that the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, in its directives on the guidelines of reopening of worship centres, limited duration of church and mosque services to one hour, only once in a week, in a view to contain the COVID-19 virus.

The cleric noted that the government can only have the justification for such policy, if the church buildings were built by them.

Oyakhilome said, “You have no right to tell God’s people, you’re going to spend one hour in church, the number of hours you tell them to have in church, those are the number of hours you have left. Some people have the audacity to tell us how many hours we can spend in church. How dare you?

“Who in the world do you think you are? You cannot tell God’s people how long they can spend in church. If you built the building for them and you are saying you are not going to let them enter the building, maybe because you built it.

“But if you didn’t, you have no right to tell God’s people, you’re going to spend one hour or two hours in church.”

Recall that the cleric faulted the earlier directive of the close down of churches and he once linked the COVID-19 pandemic to 5G technology.
