The news that the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha Buhari was flown to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates for treatment of severe neck pain has set tongues wagging on the social media.
Punch newspaper had reported that Mrs. Buhari was flown out of the country, last week after series of complaints about severe neck pain.
It was reported that the neck pain started shortly after she returned to Abuja, from a condolence visit to Florence, widow of former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi in her Lagos residence.
With International travels still on ban, the report that the First Lady travelled for medical treatment has not gone well with many Nigerians.
Some Nigerians argued that there are many Nigerians battling critical illnesses in the country with inadequate medical treatment due to the state of healthcare but the First Lady could travel abroad to treat neck pain.
This is not the first time, many Nigerians will be complaining about public officials travelling abroad for medical treatment, leaving the country’s healthcare in dilapidated state.
