Nigerian-Born Canadian Minister Sends Special Message To Nigerians

The Nigeria born minister of justice in Alberta, Canada, Kaycee Madu, has thanked Nigerians over their goodwill to him over his historic appointment.

Madu who emigrated from Nigeria to Canada in 2005 is the first black person to be appointed a minister of justice in Canada. Madu was previously minister of municipal affairs before his latest appointment.

His appointment was widely celebrated in Nigeria last week, as many Nigerians showered encomiums on him for achieving the feat.

Appreciating Nigerians, in a tweet, the UNILAG alumnus thanked Nigerians for their support and prayers.

“Thank you for all the support and prayers coming from Nigeria and Nigerians in the Diaspora.

“I look forward to the day when Nigeria and Africa become places where hard work and merit are rewarded. Chukwu Gozie! ?? ?? #ableg #cdnpoli, ” he wrote.
