#EndSARS: FG Lying More Than Satan – Burna Boy

Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy has faulted the Federal Government’s move to regulate the social media due to “fake news”, saying “they tell more lies than Satan”.

The Grammy award-nominee, in a series of tweets, on Wednesday night, taunted FG on their stance that the shooting at Lekki tollgate area of Lagos State was exaggerated and number of casualties was fake news.

Recall that on October 20, Nigerian army invaded the Lekki tollgate and shot at unarmed protesters, who were protesting against police brutality, while calling for the disbandment of the now-disbanded Special Anti-robbery Squad, a notorious police unit.

Meanwhile, controversy on the number of casualties at the Lekki tollgate lingers, weeks after the shooting.

Reacting to the claim that the shooting as the Lekki tollgate was ” Fake news”, Burna Boy taunted the Nigerian authorities that since the beginning of democracy that have made more “fake promises and lies” than Satan.

“They say Fake news Fake news but you are The ones who have made Fake promises and Told more Lies than SATAN since the beginning of “Democracy”.  You see say This life no Balance,” he wrote.

In another tweet, the 29-year-old singer came in defense of DJ Switch, the Nigerian entertainer who filmed the shooting on Instagram live and claimed that over 15 dead bodies were seen after the shooting.

“DJ SWITCH DID NOT MAKE ALLEGATIONS. SHE STREAMED THE SHOOTING ON INSTAGRAM LIVE,” Burna Boy wrote.
