GoFundMe Account Created For Baba Ijesha To Help With Legal Fees

A fan of Baba Ijesha has opened a GoFundMe account for the actor who was recently charged with sexual assault.

The GoFundMe account was created by friends and fans of the actor in a bid to cover his legal fees.

Recall that Gwg earlier reported that the actor who was arrested in April has been charged with indecent treatment of a child, defilement of a child, sexual assault by penetration, attempted sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault, which contravene sections 135, 137, 261, 202, 262, and 263 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.

Gwg gathered that Oladele Matti who started the fundraiser tagged, ‘Help Olanrewaju Omiyinka with Legal Costs’ resides in Dublin, Ireland.

Since opening the fundraising account nine hours ago, they have been able to raise €20 with the target being €50,000.

Giving reasons for starting the GoFundMe account, Oladele Matti said, “Hi, my name is Oladele Matti and I am fundraising for Olanrewaju Omiyinka aka Baba Ijesha Legal Costs. A gesture of support/Goodwill/Solidarity to assist with the legal costs of a complicated and lengthy process that will likely offer the best chance of successfully obtaining fairness and justice.

He continued, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha, is a popular actor/comedian. he was charged to court on the 24th of June, 2021 after spending over two months in police custody without bail.

An act, which breached his fundamental human rights. In view of the above, we, Olarenwaju Omiyinka aka Baba Ijesha’s friends, fans, and supporters have started this GoFundMe campaign to give a helping hand to raise funds to pay for his legal expenses. Thank you for your love and support!”
