How Ritualists Killed My Brother In Osun Hotel – Man Alleges

A Twitter user Dr Oludare Ogunlana (@AboveJordan) took to the platform to narrate how his brother was allegedly killed in a hotel he lodged in Osun state.

Dr Ogunlana thanked the Nigerian Police for arresting the culprits involved in the gruesome killing. In a bizarre twist, one of the suspects arrested is the owner of the hotel, who initially denied that the victim lodged in the hotel.

Dr Ogunlana tweeted, “Thank you, Nigeria Police. When I received a call about the unfortunate kidnap of one of my kin brothers last week, I did trust my instinct that the Nigeria Police would do a good job. The good news is the Osun State Police Command did not disappoint.#NigeriaPolice

They have been able to arrest all the suspects, but the bad news is my brother has been brutally murdered, his body part mutilated/removed in what looks like a ritual killing. And he was buried in a shallow grave near the hotel he lodged in Ile-Ife.

Adegoke Timothy Oludare was an MBA student at Obafemi Awolowo University. Last week, he travelled to OAU from Abuja for a weekend lecture and was kidnapped and murdered in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.”

Narrating how his brother was killed in the hotel in Osun State, Dr Ogunlana continued, “The intriguing part of the story is that he was not kidnapped from the airport as earlier insinuated; he was killed in the hotel where he lodged. The Hilton and Resorts Hotel where he lodged belong to Mr Rahaman Adedoyin (Maye of Ife), the owner of Oduduwa University in Ife.

Initially, when we approached the hotel to ask about him, they denied that he was their guest for the weekend. The owner of the hotel (Adedoyin) vehemently dismissed Timothy.

However, upon police investigation, the Police established that Timothy paid for the hotel and lodged there for the night. Also, they located his mutilated corpse wrapped in a blood-soaked blanket/bed sheet belonging to the hotel and buried in a shallow grave near the hotel.

Currently, Police have arrested six people, including the hotel owner, for this gruesome murder. “

The Osun State Police Command confirming the arrest of the suspects in a statement said, “Subsequent upon the earlier press release issued in respect of the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Timothy Adegoke; a Master’s degree student of OAU who came from Abuja to sit for his examination at the OAU distance learning centre, Moro, Osun State, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, psc wishes to update the general public that, in addition to the six (6) suspects earlier arrested, the chairman of Hilton Hotel and Resort, Ile-Ife, Dr Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin was also arrested on 15th November 2021.

“He is currently in police detention, undergoing interrogation in connection with the case while awaiting the autopsy report from the hospital.

“While thanking members of the public, especially the bereaved family, students and management of OAU for their patience to allow the police to continue on a thorough investigation on the matter, the CP reiterates the commitment of the state police command to ensure justice is done; no matter the personality of the person(s) involved in the case or how highly or lowly placed in the society; if found culpable.

“Meanwhile, further updates on the case will be made public as the event unfolds.”
