As Naomi Leaves, Ooni’s New Queen Says Life Is Full Of Pretenders
A recent cryptic Instagram post from the Ooni of Ife’s new Queen, Olori Ashley Afolashade alleging that life is full of pretenders is being linked to the decision of Queen Naomi to divorce the monarch.
Recall that Queen Naomi on Thursday announced her decision to divorce Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, after four years of marriage.
The decision came a day after Olori Ashley, said to be a black beauty, posted a cryptic post on her Instagram page in which she described herself as an Alpha female and as the BOSS adding that life is full of pretenders.
Queen Naomi did not refer to the post by Queen Ashley in her divorce statement only saying that “her decision to move on did not come because his majesty is married to another queen.”
However, some now allege that the post by Queen Ashley the day before may have been the final straw.
In her post Queen Ashley who runs a foundaiton had said:
“Alpha female don’t run in packs, she’s often alone, knows her power and works in silent. Confidence is the business and I am its BOSS …. Life is full of pretenders BUT I slay them all… I never stumble… distinctive is the centrepiece of my TABLE….Call me Omo Oba Ooni Adagba, Omo Ajimasapon, Omo Ekun, Omo Debiyi, Omo Erin Meje Meje, Omo Adagba Komoyeku, AFolasade AFolakemi Ashley ODU Aya Osha, Aya Olofin Adimula, Aya Oba, ???
The message which has a boastful tone, especially the portion about life being full of pretenders could be interpreted by some to have been what fueled the departure of Queen Naomi. Could there have been a contest for the Ooni’s attention, with one Queen ending victorious and boasting about it?
