Shock As Another Explosion Rocks Taraba

Another explosion has been reported in Taraba state, three days after members of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) bombed a bar in North-East state.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that nine people sustained injuries after the explosion which occurred on Friday night.

The explosion occurred at Nukkai, which shares a boundary with Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of the state.

Details of the explosion are still sketchy, but it reportedly occurred close to a local beer joint. The explosion left cracks on the walls of buildings within the site.

Spokesman of Taraba police command, DSP Abdullahi Usman, confirmed the incident and also disclosed that nine people sustained injuries.

Meanwhile besides the tanker explosion, GreenWhiteGreen GWG has reported that the Nigerian Air Force has destroyed a bandits’ base around Kambari village in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State using airstrikes launched by its jets.

GWG gathered that the airstrikes, which started three days ago, were targeted at bandits’ bases during which many bandits were reported killed.

It was learnt that three locals riding on motorcycles were killed around Kwatan Nanido in Gassol local government during the airstrike.

The bandits, it was further gathered, have been in Kambari axis for the past two months and were said to have been responsible for most kidnappings and killings in many villages across Bali, Gassol and Karim Lamido local government areas of the state
