Ghanaian President, Akufo-Addo Denies Claims On Tinubu’s Health, Peter Obi
By Emmanuel Aziken
President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana has strongly denied claims of making a pronouncement on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s health saying that he never urged the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate to step aside for Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
President Akufo-Addo in denying that he endorsed Obi and asked Tinubu to seek treatment for his health, said that it was not in his position to interfere or direct Nigerians on their political issues.
The Ghanaian president reacted in the face of viral claims of a letter allegedly sent by leader of Nigeria’s closest English speaking neighbour.
According to President Akufo-Addo, he never at any time wrote the letter that opponents of Asiwaju Tinubu have been bandying to urge him to leave the contest saying that he never at anytime wrote on Tinubu’s state of health.
According to him: “My attention has been drawn to a disturbing post making the rounds on social media, where it is alleged I have written to the 2023 presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to “give Peter Obi a chance and setreatment for his health”.
“This is completely false and mischievous, with no iota of truth whatsoever in it.
“I have written no such letter to the APC leader, and it will not occur to me to do so. Ghana and Nigeria boast of decades of cordial, strong and brotherly relations, and I am not going to be the one to interfere in the internal affairs and politics of Nigeria.”
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that before the now falsified intervention of President Akufo-Addo of Ghana, that Tinubu’s health has been an issue as critics have made issues which even if they have not been verified
