Ritualist Burnt To Death Over Disappearance Of Boy In Kogi

A suspected ritualist has been set ablaze and burnt to death by a group of angry mob at Okengwe area of Okene LGA of kogi State

An eye witness confirmed that the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon at the Okengwe-Ogori junction on the way to Ibilo in Edo State.

The source while recounting the ugly incident disclosed that the man was alleged to have made a teenage boy to disappear after hitting the victim with a white handkerchief.

The youths were triggered into action after an alarm was raised following the disappearance of the boy thus prompting the youths to descend on the suspected ritualist.

Another witness said, “I saw this man at the popular filling station at Okene roundabout on Friday afternoon. He looked rough and behaved like someone that has an impairment in the head.’’

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Okene LGA, Abdulrazaq Muhammad, has condemned the act and charged security operatives to fish out the killers of the man.

The Kogi State police spokesman, SP William Aya, could not be reached to comment on the incident of the killing of the suspected ritualist.
