Different Ways To Control Bad Breath
Bad breath is a social challenge for several persons that affects relationships at work and at home and hence the necessity to bring it under control.
Improving your breath and keeping gum and teeth healthy can come very easy at the same time. Adhering to the following simple steps will make your mouth feel fresh and clean.
Brush often
Brush your teeth at least two times each day, and floss at least once. However, if you are concerned and want to control bad breath, do both a little more often.
Scrape your tongue
The coating that normally forms on your tongue can be a host for smelly bacteria. To get rid of them, gently brush your tongue with your toothbrush.
Avoid foods that sour your breath
Onions and garlic are in this category, because of their importance to health, brushing after you eat them doesn’t help.
Drink water
Drink plenty of water and swish cool water around in your mouth. This is especially helpful to fresh morning breath and indeed a way to control bad breath.
Replace toothbrush regularly
Always replace your toothbrush at regular intervals, preferably every two or three months. Some people are in the habit of using one toothbrush for about six or twelve months. This is unhygienic and not good for healthy teeth and changing toothbrushes regularly is a good way to control bad breath.
Don’t forget to chew cloves
Chewing a handful of cloves, fennel seeds, or aniseeds is recommended because of their importance. Their antiseptic qualities help fight halitosis-causing bacteria.
