Osun State monarch, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke-lla, in Ifedayo Local Government Area of Osun state, has evoked strong memories of how Davido’s mother saved his son from the swimming pool 25 years ago.

In a touching tribute to the memory of the late Ifeanyi Adeleke, Oba Abolarin recalled how Dr (Mrs) Veronica Adeleke saved his son’s life when he was involved in a swimming pool accident 25 years ago, lamenting with pain that there was no one available to reward the late matriarch’s grandson in his time of need.

GWG.NG reports that Ifeanyi Adeleke drowned in the swimming pool in his father’s residence in the evening of Monday, October 31st, 2022.

Oba Abolarin in a tribute to the memory of the late Ifeanyi, wrote: “So sad, it was Davido’s mummy, late Dr. Mrs. Veronica Adeleke that rescued my own son inside the swimming pool, some twenty-five years ago. I am sad. What Veronica did for my son years back, nobody, I mean nobody to play that same role for Veronica’s grandson, Ifeanyi!” Oba Abolarin revealed.

He concluded by saying “Who are we to query God, may his soul rest in peace and may Veronica’s soul continue to rest in peace, fantastic woman!”
