Tiwa Savage’s Ex-Husband, Teebillz Shows Support For D’banj

Popular showbiz promoter Teebillz and ex-husband of pop star Tiwa Savage, has thrown his weight behind singer D’banj following his detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

Recall that GWG.ng on Wednesday reported that D’banj was detained by the ICPC for allegedly collaborating with some government officials to introduce ghost beneficiaries into the payroll of the N-Power scheme in order to divert funds.

Showing support for the singer, Teebillz shared a photo of D’banj on Instagram on Friday, saying he is one of the pioneers of Afrobeat.

He wrote: “Bonafide hustler! He’s the reason we all believed in Afrobeats and he solidified it internationally for THE WORLD to pay attention!! the reason everyone is benefiting from it today.

“You deserve royalties from afrobeats 4ever!!! We all moved back home bcos of you and you gave hope to kids from the ghetto! You defined hard work is greater than talent with your Mamba Mentality,.. celebrate you, just giving you your flowers while you’re alive to feel the respect and love that we have for you KING BANGER @iambangalee You’re beyond GOAT of Afrobeats! You’re one of the gods!”

Meanwhile, D’banj’s lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi has asked the ICPC to release the names of the government officials involved in an alleged N-Power fraud.

Olajengbesi also demanded the release of D’banj, insisting he is innocent.
