HIV Positive Man Remanded After Infecting Girlfriend, Daughter

A suspect has been remanded after allegedly raping his girlfriend’s 17-year-old daughter and infecting her with HIV. The remand order at Ogwashi-uku Correctional Facility was given by a Magistrate Court in Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State on Friday, January 27, 2023.

According to Marvin Mordi, the activist in charge of the case, the suspect who had sexually abused the girl since she was 11 years old also passed on HIV infection to her.

He further claimed that the victim’s mother knew about the sexual abuse but chose to conceal it out of concern for their relationship.

Comrade Israel Joe, a well-known activist who confirmed the occurrence, claimed that the perpetrator also infected the victim’s mother with HIV.

“A magistrate court in Ibusa, Nigeria, remanded this man today for defiling the woman’s daughter and infecting her with HIV. I ran across this man yesterday at State CID Asaba and praised God that he hadn’t been released because otherwise, the law of the jungle would have been applied. This ravenous looking demonic animal, carved with savage callousness and ornamented depravity, has also infected the woman’s daughter with HIV “He wrote.

Meanwhile in Delta state, a female student of the Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara has been rescued after trying to commit suicide by jumping into Oghara River. The student was rescued on Monday, January 16, by commuters and local divers who acted quickly. They headed straight down at the point she fell into and rescued her. The lady was rushed to the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH, for medical treatment. According to a video shared on social media by an activist, Isreal Ojo, the young woman was rescued after jumping into the river by a team of police and local hunters, who rushed her to a hospital.
