APC Tackles PDP Over Nude Women Protests In Nasarawa
By David Okpashi
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Nasarawa State chapter has advised the opposition People’s Democratic party PDP to seek redress in the court of law if dissatisfied with the outcome of the governorship election in the state instead of allegedly debasing women through nude protests.
The ruling APC in a statement signed by the party spokesman, Chief Douglas Otaru and made available to Journalists in Lafia Monday, noted that there were legitimate windows of opportunities available for PDP to seek redress. rather than taking to the streets in nudity to protest the outcome of an election is acclaimed fair, and credible.
“It is most unfortunate, despicable, odious and unpatriotic act for the opposition PDP to condoned acts that is uncivilized in the modern society”.
“The ruling APC maintained a noteworthy silence while she watched the disgusting melodrama of the opposition PDP since after their loss at the recently concluded general elections which produced His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi A Sule as the winner of the election”.
“To us in the APC, the stage managed embarrassing carnival of nudity is a charade, show of shame and worthless debasement of our women who were brain washed with peanuts to demonstrate the most expensive, immoral and blasphemous desecration of their bodies which supposedly should be the temple of their creator.
The statement maintained that although the party in Nasarawa was not averse to protest in any form of civil pursuits, it added that such desperation as demonstrated by the PDP in supposedly recruiting women to protest is uncultured and alien to any known Democratic norms and processes which should be condemned in it’s totality.
“We are not oblivious of the antics of the opposition aimed at scuttling the peace and security of the state that the Gov. Sule led administration has sustained over the years, further to that, we could see their desperate attempt to whip up sentiments all in an attempt to discrediting the entire electoral process which has been adjudged as the most freest and fairest contest ever in the history of the country”, the statement added.
“We have maintained this long golden silence in the APC owing to the fact that we have a duty to continue to maintain law and order, protect lives and property across divides and therefore, shouldn’t be seen to joining frays on issues with the weeping PDP.
Chief Otaru declared that the ruling APC in Nasarawa State will continue to refrain from any counter action capable of causing breakdown of law and order using women to protest or otherwise, stating that where such Olive is taken for granted, the party will be forced not to tolerate any form of harassment or intimidation of the citizens of the state by the opposition party.
