6500 Sex Attacks In Hospitals, New Report Claims

A recent report has exposed the heinous sexual assault that has allegedly occurred over the past three years in UK hospitals.

New statistics from the Women’s Rights Network (WRN) show that more than 6,000 sexual assaults, including gang rapes and assaults on children, were reported. According to the Mirror UK, the statistics were obtained by sending freedom of information requests to police forces in England and Wales.

Between January 2019 and October 2022, at least 2,088 rapes and 4,451 sexual assaults were reported at a rate of 33 each week; shockingly, one in seven of these incidents occurred in hospital wards. And only 4.1% of the crimes led to a charge or summons being issued to the suspect.

The findings, according to WRN’s founder Heather Binning, are “just the tip of the iceberg” and demonstrate that hospitals “just aren’t safe spaces.”

She said: ‘They are almost a market for sexual offenders. It’s absolutely terrifying. The police are not doing enough in terms of recording the crimes properly and pursuing them – these are places with CCTV and restricted access. Why is the charge rate so low? These statistics are jaw-dropping. We began this investigation because of concerns about the safety of women and children on NHS wards, but we are horrified at what we have uncovered”.
