Breaking: Nigeria To Battle South Africa, Four Minions For 2026 World Cup Qualification

The Super Eagles of Nigeria Super Eagles have been drawn in Group C alongside South Africa, Benin Republic, Rwanda, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

GWG.ng reports that the winner of each group in the qualification round will automatically represent the group in the Mundial scheduled to be co-hosted by the North American countries of USA, Canada and Mexico.

The draws ceremony was held on Thursday in Abidjan, Cote’d’Ivoire.
GWG.ng reports that the greatest threat to Nigeria qualification is expected to be South Africa with the four others regarded as minions despite the increasing sophistication of international football.
