Prominent lawyer, Robert Clarke (SAN) has said that nothing will come of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi’s separate appeals to the Supreme Court to reverse the judgment of the Presidential Election Petitions Court, PEPC.

The Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC had last Wednesday affirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory, a judgment that has been disputed by the opposition who have pledged to go to the Supreme Court to challenge the victory.

Tinubu’s victory is being disputed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who finished second in the election, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, who finished third.

Asked of his perception of the judgment, Clarke in an interview on Channels Television on Sunday said that all of the issues raised by Atiku and Obi at the tribunal have already been decided by the Supreme Court.

“In my personal view, and I believe my personal view is enriched with my past experience in the dispensation of justice at the bar.

“I have every belief and I seriously believe that the unanimous judgement of the Court of Appeal is unassailable, it is as fixed as you can fix anything and I can assure that if there is an appeal, I doubt if anything can come out of the appeal.

He went further; Let us be clear to ourselves. “All the matters, based on law that were brought before the tribunal, had already been adjudged by the apex court in this country”, Robert Clarke said of the PEPC judgment.
