Brave Rescue: Boy Buried Alive by Elder Brother Saved in Lokoja

In a horrifying incident that shook the Apamisede area of Lokoja, a little boy was rescued on Tuesday after being buried alive by his own elder brother.

The shocking act was carried out as a punishment, allegedly directed by their mother, for the boy’s supposed theft of N1,000.

Neighbors intervened and caught the elder brother, preventing what could have been a tragic outcome for the young boy. The incident has since been reported to the Police Force, D Division, Lokoja, who are now investigating the matter.

The rescue operation was met with relief and astonishment from the community, as they grappled with the shocking cruelty displayed within a family setting. The incident has sparked outrage and concern among locals, prompting discussions about the importance of child protection and the need for appropriate punishments that do not endanger a child’s life.

Usman Okai Austin, a prominent figure in the state and House of Representatives candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election, shared the incident on social media, shedding light on the appalling incident.

A little boy was rescued in Apamisede area of Lokoja on Tuesday after he was buried alive by his elder brother.

The elder brother, who was caught by neighbours, said he buried the boy alive after their mother directed him to punish the boy for stealing N1,000.

The case has been reported to the Police Force, D Division, Lokoja.
