Attackers Killed As Israel Foils New Hamas Invasion (Video)

Israel has stopped a fresh invasion by Hamas militants, the Israeli Defence Forces said on Wednesday.

GWG.ng reports that the news of the fresh invasion comes in the wake of increasing reports that Israel is contemplating postponing its planned ground invasion of Gaza to uproot the tentacles of the Hamas military architecture within the territory.

The fresh invasion by Hamas militants happened on Tuesday through the Mediterranean Sea. According to emerging details, the Hamas militants had entered the sea through a tunnel from inside Gaza and planned to enter Israel. They were, however, spotted by IDF forces who sent naval gunfire to neutralize the Hamas invaders.

The number of Hamas militants involved in the new invasion have not been confirmed by GWG.ng

Meanwhile, the failed invasion of Israel by Hamas came as it emerged that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to postpone the ground offensive operation in the Gaza Strip.

GWG.ng reports that there are suggestions that Israel has not properly mobilized for the operation and the delay is needed to properly mobilise. There are also suggestions that Israel is also waiting for the arrival of more American forces in the Mediterranean Sea to act as a bulwark should other interested forces like Iran seek to enter the melee.

Besides, the United States is believed to be asking Israel to delay the invasion to allow for more time to negotiate the safe release of the about 200 hostages taken from Israel during the October 7 attack by Hamas.
