17-Year-Old Warren Zaire-Emery Called Up By France For International Break

17-year-old midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery has been called up by Fraance to his first senior international call up for the country’s national team.

GWG.ng reports that Warren Zaire-Emery came into the limelight when he made his first UEFA Champions League appearance at just 16 years of age in the 2022-23 season. This term he has now established himself as a regular for Luis Enrique’s side, starring in all matches so far. He has scored 2 goals and registered 5 assists already in all competitions this season, and that has earned him his first senior international call up for France.

The player born in 2006 will become the youngest player to debut for Les Bleus since Eduardo Camavinga. Didier Deschamps has expressed his admiration for the youngster, stating that he is going to be an important player in the future. Warren Zaire-Emery will likely play his first game when during the ongoing Euro 2024 Qualifiers.

Meanwhile, GWG.ng reports that Eduardo Camavinga has penned a new long term deal with Real Madrid until the summer of 2029.

The Frenchman has now committed his future to Los Blancos, keeping him at the club for an extended 5 years. He was signed in 2021 from French Ligue 1 side Rennes and has gone on to establish himself in Carlo Ancelotti’s set up. Just 20 years of age, Camavinga has won all the trophies available at club level. In his first season in Spain, he won the La Liga and UEFA Champions League, the following year he completed club football by winning the Copa Del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
