Close Call: 13 Survive Near-Death Experience In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway
Thirteen individuals narrowly avoided a fatal outcome after five vehicles were engaged in a ghastly collision on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The victims, who suffered varying degrees of injuries, were involved in the accidents at Car Park C on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway this past Sunday.
Mrs. Florence Okpe, the Spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta.
Okpe detailed that the event took place at 4:55 am and was triggered by speeding, involving five vehicles and 22 people.
”A total of five vehicles were involved, including three trucks, a Toyota Corolla marked MUS 793 HM, and a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number FG 369-F20,” she stated.
The injured victims were promptly taken to Famobis Hospital Mowe for medical attention, according to the FRSC spokesperson.
She reported that the state Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, advised motorists to exercise caution while driving and adopt a defensive driving approach.
