In a candid video shared on his Instagram page, the controversial musician accused unnamed individuals of plotting to “destroy and kill” him due to his commitment to speaking the “truth.”

In the video message, Seun Kuti disclosed that he has encountered numerous court cases and police invitations over the years, losing count of the challenges he has faced for being outspoken. Despite the legal battles, he emphasized that he is fighting many secret “wars” alone, navigating a complex landscape of threats and opposition.

The Afrobeat artist conveyed his frustration, stating, “I will reveal it here today. They want to silence me for this country. I can’t tell you how many wars I am fighting alone. I can’t tell you how many cases in court for nothing, how many police invitations left, right, and center for nothing. For just saying the truth, everybody is inviting the police on me.”

Seun Kuti went on to highlight the adversity he faces for speaking his truth, asserting that powerful forces are attempting to tarnish his reputation and undermine his impact.
